The company started as a small family enterprise aiming at the processing of soil and submarine cable scrap. In 1989 the production was expanded to include the processing of transformers which was a natural step in the company operations due to the oil they contain. <BR><BR>In 1992, following a major expansion, the company was bought by NKT Cables A/S thus becoming the owner of Hals Metalsmelteri A/S until 2002. This year NKT Cables A/S chose to part with the company which accordingly was bought by three managerial members <BR>of the staff. <BR><BR>From 1992 to 2002 the company went through a steady and <BR>smooth development and in 1998 the trading in various metal fractions was initiated.
